B7 Magazine recently held an interview with Wu-Tang’s producer True Master. In the interview he discussed several topics ranging from where he gets his inspiration from to what he’s going to do in the future. He also revealed the story how he met the Wu.
“I met RZA, GZA, Ol’ Dirty Bastard and Melquan who was managing them at the time back in the mid eighties just walking through the streets of Mecca I recognized the Gods because they wore universal flags. I’ve known Masta Killa since we were in the third grade. We grew up together; he met the Gods through me.”
As far as True Master’s future he told that he’s “working on a compilation and supervising a project out of Japan as well as developing some artists and getting a label together in the coming year.”
He also said that “the Wu-Elements are still in effect but Wu-Tang is going through some changes within the infrastructure right now.” |
